The Marriage Proposal

November 29th, 2005– A Day I’ll never forget! It was the day I proposed to my wife. I don’t think I have ever been so nervous in my entire life! It wasn’t so much the thought of her saying “no.” It was more of the idea of “I’m really doing this. I’m really about to ask Jaclyn to be my wife.” It was something that I had thought about since I was a boy and I wanted everything to be perfect. I was so nervous that my hands were shaking and I was pouring sweat. It was hard to get my thoughts together to even propose. In the end, it all worked out beautifully — certainly not exactly the way I had planned it — but it couldn’t have been more perfect.

I thought I’d share this special moment in my life with you all. Hope you enjoy the video.

PS. You know its love if Im singing.

  12. My heart, my head, my stomach thanks you for such a sweet and hilarious memory. Too bad you didnt get the part where your family was lurching in the back ground. Keep making memories. I love you BB

  13. Jackalopekid, that kid actually went around telling people that “Mrs. Moon married her brother in the art room today”. It really makes me question what in the world Jaclyn had been teaching her kids.

BB (my aunt for anyone else reading this), I have the nuttiest, most supportive and encouraging family ever. You guys are great… a little embarassing… but great.

Alex, that song was a big part of the story and the inspiration for the kids to sing it. As odd as it may be, His Cheeseburger was actually “our song” when we dated in high school. I felt the kids were a nice way to bring out that song again. They were perfect… and quite funny,

  17. Very cool, man! Wish I’d had a camera to film the Peacock that chased us around the park everytime I went to ask Kim to marry me!
